Event Location:
One Brooklyn Health - One Brookdale Plaza
Event Description:
Leukemia and myelodysplastic syndromes can be difficult to diagnose as its signs and symptoms can look similar to other malignant and non-malignant conditions. Typically, patients with leukemia or myelodysplastic syndromes have more frequent visits to their primary care physicians due to abnormal lab results, however, even with these increased visits, misdiagnosis can occur leading to limited options for future care. Join us as Dr. Jonathan Canaani, Director of the Hematologic Malignancies Program at New York-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital, presents on Leukemia and MDS for the primary care provider. All attendees will be equipped with the knowledge to identify potential markers for leukemia and myelodysplastic syndromes.
